So...sore..

Well, I fell asleep last night at around 8:30 pm, on accident. I was eating a leftover baguette I had saved from lunch and I thought I would lay down for a minute on my bed. Bad idea. I awoke at 11 pm long enough to brush my teeth and then passed out again until I suddenly awoke this morning at 6 am! I felt wide awake and well rested, but it felt like a heavy weight was pressing on my body keeping me from rising from my bed. Weird..I tried to move, and literally almost couldn't. Apparantly the tolls or transporting all my luggage and wandering around France yesterday marked my body with intense pain and soreness. My back, legs, arms, etc. have been sore ALL DAY. Haha that is what I get for not working out..

Any how. Noelle and I got up and walked to town to grab breakfast at a patisserie, we both got a ham quiche and "orangina" haha. Aka some orange juice drink in a can that was carbonated? Delicious. We ate outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Then we realized our access to internet (Quick, the burger restaurant) was not open yet, so we walked back ( all uphill we realized) and promptly fell asleep for 2.5 hours. Yay nap! Jk. I was not expecting to sleep that long.

We decided to go back to town for lunch and internet and ran into Genesis on our way down the stairs! So we headed back, and discovered a large part of Caen, the shopping, eating, packed with people part! I think everyone was out roaming the cobblestone streets because of the weather, we ate kabobs and had icecream. We also tried to get a cell phone? Or find out about them, that was a fail. We picked up pamphlets and will go back later. It will be awkward and hard because I have a feeling the store people won't speak any english...a great way to practiceeeeeee.

So I got mint ice cream. It was green, looked good, and I had had onions with my lunch. So I decided yes, good idea right? Woahhh, that mint ice cream had REAL mint leaves in it! It tasted so good, yet instead of like, mint chocolate chip, it was mint mint leaf ice cream. What the...but it was delicious and super fresh tasting. SO that was a win as well.

We tried to meet with a guy that is supposed to tell us what we are supposed to be doing, but he was gone for the day so that will happen tomorrow. I'm ready to get more situated with the school part, we have just been wondering around but haven't gotten any information about our actual studies yet! So tomorrow will be the day. Now it is 7:30pm and we are done for the day.

We walk so much. And don't eat as much. Noelle and I were saying that by the end of our trip our clothes won't fit anymore. I'm fine with that hah.

Also, there are virtually no obese people here. My dietitian services would not be needed.

Also, that is all.

  1. Orangina is the best! I'm genuinely surprised you've never had it before. And yay for jet lag but it sounds like you're handling it well. What time is it there? Like night time probably right? So weird. Love you!
